I did everything you did, but at the end after preparing the Cydia filesystem all my default apps got deleted except for the NewsStand app. I’m not sure if anyone else has had this happen to them but right now I’m restoring my iPhone and going to try this process all over again.
By the way, I’m not trying to criticize RedSn0w for this small bug, I’m just trying to get feedback from other Jailbreakers.

hey bro i did everything i was waiting for reboot the phone it took to long so i dedide to unplog the phone and then by accident i just erase cydia you know how can i get it back to unlock the phone cuz the phone is already jailbreak ? thanks bro

where is the solution post for when redsn0w doesn’t identify iOS 5.0.1??? i cant seem to bypass that :/ plz help…. i have an iPhone 3gs 5.0.1 and i’ve tried to jailbreak it with iOS 5.0 because redsn0w does identify that and everything seems to go well until it’s finally through the jailbreak and when the iPhone is loading up to turn on it freezes on me and so i have to restore it.. i’ve been through that same problem for like 7 or 8 times now PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

@IPhoneTechHelp Unfortunately, you are on iOS 5.0.1 version 9A405. This is different than the developer’s version, 9A402. It is not supported by Redsn0w.
@TheErck76 Im having the exact same problem. Have you found any information as to why this is happening?
I have an iphone 4 and ios 5.0.1. I get the error message once the phone is restarted through the DFU mode.
